Slonana CLI

The command-line client for the SLON chain — query slots, balances, accounts, programs and validators from your terminal. No node, no Docker, no systemd.

Install (Linux x86-64)

curl -fsSL https://slonana.com/install.sh | sh

This is the installer's default mode: it fetches the signed binary, verifies its Ed25519 signature against the pinned release key, and installs slonana to /usr/local/bin. It asks for sudo only for that final move. It does not configure a validator — adding --join is what does that, and that path is on Run a node.

Verify

$ slonana --version slonana-cli v0.1.xxxx-slon

No configuration needed. A fresh install points at http://rpc.slonana.com with confirmed commitment, so the first command works immediately.

Install options

  • -d <path> — install somewhere else (e.g. ~/.local/bin, no sudo)
  • -u <base> — alternate dist base URL
  • --help — all installer flags
  • Pass flags after sh -s --

Requirements

  • Linux x86-64 (the binary is Linux-only)
  • curl
  • sudo, only to write /usr/local/bin
  • Outbound HTTPS

User-directory install (no sudo)

curl -fsSL https://slonana.com/install.sh | sh -s -- -d ~/.local/bin

Make sure that directory is on your PATH.

-c, --commitment <LVL>processed, confirmed, or finalized
--output <FMT>text or json — use json for scripting
-v, --verboseverbose output

Defaults are stored in ~/.config/slonana/cli/config.yml; slonana config prints the file in use, the RPC URL, keypair path and commitment.

Shell completion

$ slonana completion bash # also: zsh, fish

Staying current

slonana update fetches the newest signed release, verifies it against the pinned release key, and swaps the binary only if the manifest version is newer. slonana update --check-only reports without installing.
